It was an action-packed, drama-filled afternoon at Goodison Park as the Blues played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Dominic Calvert-Lewin struck early once again, before Bruno Fernandes levelled proceedings for the visitors. The biggest talking point of the day came in second half added time, when Calvert-Lewin was denied a second following a controversial VAR decision. What did you make of it? I disagree. The player was literally sitting in front of the goalkeeper, he had to move his legs for the ball to pass. If that's not influencing the situation, I don't know what is. And he has only himself to blame, he should've joined the game instead of sitting on his ass and relaxing in the middle of the freakin attack.

@@nevarran okay I agree that is debatable. But there has been alot of dodgy decision that made this VAR thing suspicious. Certain obvious fouls on the penalty was not given because it wasn't let me say it out loud *clear and obvious mistake by the ref*. where I've seen some decisions where it was the same incident but given a penalty by var instead of saying not clear and obvious. Same with red cards as well. Most of the decisions always went to the favor of the so called top 6 teams. That's why there alot happening with VAR that we don't know

100000 subs please With no vids he was on the floor, when Everton got the rebound you could see de gea get in position but when he saw that he was going to pass it he let his guard down. That’s when the own goal happened.

If you're referring to the disallowed goal, it wasn't simply whether he was offside or not. The decision was base on whether or not he obstructed the keeper while being offside... VAR deemed he was. I personally think he did not.

@@Kiddingyoumust He was blocking you fool. Yes I'm a United fan but I'd say the same exact thing if it was against United. He sat there right in front of goal and never bothered to get up. If he was hurt that would've been a different matter but with such quickness he got up and sprinted off to celebrate showed he shouldn't have been sitting directly in the way.

@@Kyle_Hubbard He was blocking? hahaha He was blocking what exactly? The grass he was seating on? 1- When the shot was taken, the ball was moving to the left. De Gea had started to move in that direction, thus he CLEARLY saw the ball. He wasn't blocked. 2- When the ball was deflected by Maguire, again De Gea saw it, yet he made no attempt to the ball. Why? Because he couldn't due to his momentum taking him the opposite direction and the speed of the ball. He wasn't blocked. He had no shot at the ball and dude seating on the ground had little to do with the ball going in.

To all Evertonians here complaining about the disallowed goal - please keep the emotions aside and judge the decision. Your guy Sigurdson is laying there for 5 seconds, he is preventing De Gea from closing down the angle and he's playing De Gea's mind while making a decision. Whether De Gea made the save or not is not a question, Sigurdson has already affected the play from an offside position. You people only complain when decision is not in favour of you. That ref gave us 3 undeserved yellows and gave a free kick right at the edge of the box for Fred touching the ball with his knee, you don't see us moaning for these wrong calls. You shouldn't rage when you couldn't sneak a win through a fluke deflection, in an illegal way.

Why was he on the floor in first place? Take a look. He was brought down after he had his shot on golf, which in the rules of the game is a penalty.

@@Dooguk So you have no complaints over VAR decision, good. And now crying over another correct decision. Both him and AWB went for the ball and he was "brought down" AFTER the shot which is not a penalty. Refs will not give penalties for every infringement inside the penalty box, only for those who they think have directly impacted a goal scoring opportunity. Sigurdson has already shot the ball, AWB has not impeded that. You people love free handouts from referees don't you? And btw why is Sigurdson laying there for 5 seconds. If this goal was allowed it would set a bad precedent, teams like you will lay one man there all the time and claim the guy is not offside because he is not impeding the line of sight of GK.

Toruk Makto exactly he was laying there, not standing laying. Which he didn’t impede de gea. You can clearly see that de gea moved with the ball, he side stepped, before it deflected. But obviously he didn’t think it was going to be deflected

Shimon well we know he wasn’t because de gea reacted to the ball being kicked meaning he saw the ball so Sigurdsson wasn’t blocking his sight. Also Sigurdsson was on the floor, de gea could see right over him
