Unlucky Everton .First well done 2-0 down half-time Struggled to get going ,few weeks ago game wouldve been over .Duncan obv half-time produced belief to go out & believe can get back into game & although still weren't firing full cylinders avoided losing third Rolled sleeves up & got 2 goals Second goal absolute screamer look at Everton players movement Baines had confidence & belief to have a go Belief that Duncan's installed in team. I don't class this as a loss as such got take fact struggled & still managed get 2 goals & crowd were behind them ,hopefully applauded lads off.Any team on poor night can get back like that has team spirit for sure that's Duncan's input last couple weeks.His relationship with fans is huge & showed

Everton pressed with heart and will but at times the coordination seemed abysmal. Ferguson demands a lot from his players, he just arrived and the lads will try their best to impress, this however in the long run creates what I call the "Pochettino effect", players get tired, injured and start to slowly get worn. You need a really large contingency of quality players to play like Everton is doing at the moment and cross all fingers for no further injuries. (Swansea fan here).

Rubbish. Duncan Ferguson is actually anything but a bottler. Poch is a supreme bottler. And I never saw Spurs squad work as hard as Everton have.

Leighton Baines is an old warhorse who can lead the charge when needed. I think Duncan Ferguson should become manager. That's just my humble opinion.

His attributes in Football Manager suggest he would make a good deep lying playmaker. There's life in those aging legs beyond Left Back if that game is anything to go by. In any case, a great pro and team man. Hopefully he stays in the game for many, many more years.

Why? The only thing we haven't had is a manager who has won multiple trophies. Duncan hasn't, Ancelotti has.

@@monk3742 in my opinion trophies arent everything. Just because a manager has proven themselves with another team does not equate to then proving themselves and gaining a trophy with this team. I'm big on a managers rapport with the players and supporters. In my opinion you need someone at the helm who inspires the players and fans and is solely devoted to the club. I believe Ferguson has that character and drive and is clearly devoted to the clubs success. I just think he's a good fit a manager rising from the ashes of the previous managerial disaster. Just my opinion perhaps I'm wrong. Big Dunc has the connection with the players, that is clear. Will he make the connection with the fans and garner their support. Idk.

Dont fall for it. We've seen it before. Di Canio, Allardyce, Marco Silva , and more recently, Ole Gunnar solskjaer. They cam spark a revival but when given the time you will see that they have far too much to learn

Nice to see that we played to the end thinking we could still win it. Pens is always harsh. But I enjoyed seeing the fight in the second half. First half was pure Marco Silva. But the second half was ace. Baines tho. Still got it, that man. Brilliant goal from a brilliant blue. 👊💙

Ferguson might be passionate and all but his defense remains wide open. Had Leicester been clinical, they could score 5 from all the everton errors and put the game to bed. They took their foot of the gas after 70 min and paid the price. But a convincing win for them. Hope they win the cup this year.

The thing is he did this with a half injured squad. Everton fans never expected any fight at all till Big Dunc took over. Weren't supposed to win vs Chelsea, never supposed to draw vs United, and never supposed to go for a comeback in this one. We're playing a CB in the midfield for Christ sakes. When the transfer window opens, we can expect Everton to look for a class CB.

If all our midfield get healthy again we might have too many in the midfield. But for now they're all injured. Holgate is out of position. Good game to Leicester though. Let's hope they win the Cup and league.
