Howard's team were awesome, they had everything. Such amazing days, that team hardly gets a mention these days! Johann Cruyff said we were the best team in Europe, he knew a thing or two about football so that's all right with me!

This great victory at Anfield paved the way for Everton's superb League Championship 1984-85. And Graeme Sharp's stunning "rocket" is one of the best ever winning goals in Merseyside derbies.

I was only a wee six year ago back in 1984...So i wouldn't remember this.. But looking at this then and now. Graham Sharp was always a thorn in the great Liverpool team of the 1980s. That goal i think infant won Everton the championship that season in 1984-85.
