More than 7,500 seats now adorn Everton Stadium as the transformation of the Club’s new waterfront home continues.
The next tranche of blue seats are due to be installed later this week, dependent on weather conditions, with the ambition of having the entire upper tier ready by Christmas.

As a spurs supporter I watched almost daily the progress of our stadium through cams and blogs…watching this brings back those memories where you think it’s coming along so fast and then it all slows down again and something major happens and it jumps forward again. This is going to be a great stadium. Everton has always been my second favourite club and this, I’m sure, will be a start of better chapter !

Man United fan here. It’s going to be a superb stadium in a great location. I hope to visit for a match at some point, even though I’m not an Evertonian. It will be a superb venue to watch football.

Though of a red persuasion, I've been following the construction since Day One because it's just beautiful especially the little design details. It makes the stadium very personable and warm. I hope you include little notes around these details to help keep visitors informed of the reasoning behind this wonderful project. Hope to visit soon as a lover of architecture and history, if not the footy (haha)!

Absolute quality! Thanks for keeping us updated! I've a couple of memorial stones (one gifted to me and another I bought in memory of my Brother who made me a blue) in the walkway and so proud to be part of this project now and for the rest of my days. Can't wait to see my first game there! Blues Forever! ♥

This stadium is so so beautiful, makes all us toffees proud! But can someone at the club please provide an answer to the lack of any archibald Leitch motif, and if its planned to incorporate this at a later stage? I think the majority of the complaints have been on this one issue, as that featured so heavily in the fan consultation which took place when this was being commissioned. It would be really sad if this was not a feature, as promised....I don;t think the benches were what people were hoping for re that design motif being represented! Can someone at the club comment?

It is there, mate. It doesn't seem to get picked up very well on these videos. It is quite a subtle pattern in the brickwork, but I promise you it IS there! UTFT!

@dinesh.gurram i think that once the whole thing is finished and you're walking around the ground the pattern will be very clear to see. It's just harder to see from a drone camera.

Saw the WiFi testing, word of experience from Austin FC and its new stadium. Whatever you think you need, double it or triple it. We struggled for the first year or so.

Well, I'll tell you one thing. It'll be by far the best stadium in the Championship. j/k You'll be fine. I was discussing Old Trafford the other day with another United fan and I'm in two minds about the prospect of tearing down an iconic stadium. Several clubs have done it in recent years. Highbury, Maine Road, now Goodison. There is room to totally rebuild Old Trafford by just moving it slightly into one of the car parks so that the railway track doesn't get in the way. This looks amazing, though. Already it looks better than Wembley, which completely lost its identity in its rebuild, IMO.

Looking good, however for our forever home there’s no question it should have been at a minimum 60,000 capacity stadium. Can’t get over that north stand being designed smaller like that, no reason not to have continued around with the height of the other stands.

hey man, i watched a vid why its only 52,888 pax ...phenomenon where not all those who on waiting list for season ticket will eventually turn into a purchase some 30% attrition rate or smth...then another was getting funding...the bigger you build, the more ppl ask qns about revenue and all hence the 52,888 that can be expanded to 62,888..so this basically meant a 62,888 stadium (future) but we get the red tapes only worth 52,888 but the architect keep saying "football-only" so no chance of holding nfl or what not...need see how to make it profitable

Stadium build expenditure is supposed to be excluded from P&S rules - if Everton's owner had borrowed the money the interest would've been excluded. Everton instead borrowed for general running costs incurring interest. If they'd have done it other way around they'd have passed PSR. Go figure ! 🤷‍♂️

All seems to be about the Dock ground nobody seems to be mentioning the road outside the Dock ground if everton move ground and they leave that road as it is outside the Dock ground its going to take hours getting to the match and the same getting to houses after the match plus the rail network won't be able to handle the crowds eg match people and people leaveing work etc its going to be chaos your going to have 30 thousand cars maybe more plus coaches etc decending there the congestion is going to be horrendous and there is very limited parking outside or near the dock ground

i would agree with you, but the architect was clear about the new stadium not becoming a "Souless Monstrosity"...this was one of the reason for a smaller capacity even though none of us thought it made sense. Give it a chance...attend a game there and then come back to critic...
