I'm not an Everton fan but Fergusons passion,love and more importantly loyalty to the club has always been very admirable. Could see why hes a favourite amongst the fans and hes the definition of a cult hero.

Ok so I don't care where we finish in the league, I want a manager who bleeds Everton blue, who runs up and down the touch line punching the air and kisses his players on the head when they score the winner. You can stick your foreign professional managers and their big pay offs for failure where the sun don't shine. Just keep Dunc where he is.

Let´s say for the sake of argument that he´s passionate and not a tactical manager. Would you still just choose him just because he´s passionate?

Good question. I just look at Brian Clough and his amazing man management skills taking some average second division (as it was then) players and giving them the belief and the confidence to win the European Cup. I also look at the way Leicester stormed to the Prem title really based on pure self belief and the moulding of a tremendous team spirit. I have to accept you need to be tactically astute but without passion it doesn't work. I think Dunc deserves a fair crack of the whip. I think if we had given Unsy more time we might have seen him grow into the role. I think he had turned the corner in his last game and I still wonder about what might have been if we had persevered.

The other point I was thinking is that you can learn tactics but you can't learn passion and neither Silva nor Martinez showed any passion. If you think of all the truly successful managers they have had passion in abundance. Of course, if Dunc loses the next ten games on the trot that's a different matter but I would like to see him have a decent chance to prove himself before we ditch him like we did with Unsy.

CreeperBoy043 I like Carlo. A nice man with amazing credentials. He has brought in some great players. It is great to see Calvert-Lewin maturing into a devastating striker. Tom Davies hasn't done the same but Carlo hasn't given up on him all credit to him. He is also working on getting Anthony Gordon up to the level. I can't knock him to be honest. Dunc is still there as assistant manager. Our form is erratic but I have to say Carlo is doing a fine job at the top and hasn't ignored our passion and heritage. I just want to get the ground full again.

Look at that headline photie, embracing the players, epitomizes the man & his passion for this club. Any doubters about his capabilities as a manager, look at the post match interviews..he knows his stuff! Forget these iffy foreigners, Moyes, Hughes et al, just give the job to Dunc!

What respect players have & showed for Big Duncan .Final clip showed two players celebrate hug for Duncan who stepped in & obv showed belief in players .Asked for them to give him everything & to a man they have him a little more . Real Football Legends will stand tall,step forward when required ,asked by Chairmen what he would do & he did exactly what he said Chairman said it was One of his best ever Goodison games ,moments seeing Big Duncan doing a Duncan Ferguson Job..

Fantastic the boys yesterday.. I'm a season ticket holder in the park end. My only quarm was the richalison sub.. not saying it was wrong because he looked a little tired and some fresh legs were needed but fuck me Davies was a waste of time! No urgency whatsoever.. he done 50% less running the richarlason. Not happy with him, hope the big fella has a word!
